Some of the water mains beneath our communities have been quietly serving customers for more than a century. While they may be out of sight, these critical pipes deliver the reliable water service families depend on every day, and just like most things, aging infrastructure needs some TLC.
That's why Liberty is working on an infrastructure improvement project that will replace approximately 2,600 feet of water main originally installed in the early 1900s. The project includes a new 12-inch main on Lord Avenue and new 8-inch water mains on several surrounding streets. This work will help us meet the needs of the community for years to come, improving water pressure, addressing discolored water and overall providing more reliable service.

By coordinating construction efforts with the Village of Lawrence and National Grid, we're reducing disruptions while making meaningful investments in the neighborhood's future. Work is expected to be complete by the end of September. From Lord Avenue and Lismore Road to Wentworth Place, Stevens Place, Rand Place, and Wildacre Avenue, these upgrades will strengthen the system that serves local homes and businesses every day.
